HIPAA Compliance


It is the policy of the Prosper Fire Department to assure compliance with the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, Public Law 104-191, enacted by Congress on August 21, 1996, Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information, 45 CFR Parts 160 and 164 and the Texas Department of Health, Health and Safety Code 773.092 concerning patient confidentiality laws.
